A young Hewitt Avenue motorist who made a careless turn in front of a police car Wednesday night ended up having his underwear searched.
Alvin L. Livingston, 19, of 312 Hewitt was making a left turn from Bailey Avenue onto Hewitt at 9:05 p.m. when he cut off the police car coming down Hewitt, according to Northeast District officers.
Officers Earl Perrin and Michael Bass made a U-turn and stopped the motorist.
"He got real nervous and started saying crazy things to passers-by," Perrin said.
The officers said they searched him and found 10 large bags of crack cocaine in his underwear.
Livingston was charged with felony drug possession, obstruction of justice, making an unsafe turn and a seat belt violation.
