SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS OK RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

Several Orchard Park Central School District administrators were granted 4 percent raises for 1998-99 under a contract recently signed with the district.

The eight-member Orchard Park Central Office Administrators Association also agreed to a residency requirement for new members of the bargaining unit.

During the course of the five-year contract, they will receive a 2 percent raise July 1, 1998, and a 2 percent raise Jan. 1, 1999, and 2.9 percent increases for the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 school years. The raise in the final year of the contract will be equal to the Northeast Regional consumer price index plus 1 percent.

The pay increases are calculated on the 1996-97 salary and are not added onto the base pay.
