A Riverside man was charged Wednesday with smashing eight windows in the house of a Gorton Street woman and trying to gain entry.
Northwest District officers went to the home of Kimberly Brennan at 190 Gorton.
Police said George Call, 34, of 140 Hertel Ave. also broke windows on the woman's car and harassed her by trying to enter the house through a broken window.
"Entry to the house was stopped by Lee Miller of the same address with a 12-gauge shotgun," police said in their report.
Call was charged with felony criminal mischief and harassment and also was held on an outstanding warrant charging assault.
