The dirt track is firm and the home stretch is long. Bob Baffert, the trainer of Silver Charm, likes that just fine.
"Boy, that horse is going to be tough to beat Saturday," he said.
The 4-year-old, who last year fell a length short of winning the Triple Crown, is the headline attraction for the Dubai World Cup in the United Arab Emirates -- the world's richest horse race in which $2.4 million goes to the winner.
Baffert is making his first trip outside of the United States and Mexico.
Silver Charm, who already has racked up $2.2 million in career earnings, will be ridden by Hall of Famer Gary Stevens.
