A man arrested in an anthrax scare in Las Vegas was slapped with an additional six months' probation Tuesday.
Larry Wayne Harris, 46, and a second man were arrested Feb. 18 on suspicion of having deadly weapons-grade anthrax. The charges were dropped when the material was found to be a veterinary vaccine.
At the time, Harris was on 18 months' probation from a 1995 conviction in Ohio for illegally ordering bubonic plague bacteria by mail.
Harris admitted Tuesday that he violated probation by falsely telling people he had been associated with the CIA and by failing to tell authorities that he switched hotel rooms while he was in Las Vegas.
