James C. Haynes, a retired Union Carbide employee, died Friday (March 20, 1998) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, after a long illness.
Haynes, 62, of Lafayette Square, was born in Columbia, S.C. He moved to Rochester in 1954 and later to Niagara Falls. He worked on the production line at Union Carbide from 1964 to his retirement in 1989.
Haynes is survived by his wife, Ola Williams Haynes of New York City; two sons, James S. and James C. Sanders; a daughter, Chelsea L.; a sister, Anne R. of Newark, N.J.; and two granddaughters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
