Eva McKay of Drum Road, a former resident of Newfane, died Tuesday (March 24, 1998) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital. She was 97.

A native of Ottawa, Canada, the former Eva Labrecque was a member of the Newfane Golden Age Club, Barker Senior Citizens and the Gasport Jet Set senior citizens group.

Her husband, Arthur, died in 1964.

Survivors include five sons, Albert of Niagara Falls, Lawrence of Georgia, Donald of Syracuse, Norman of Burt and Joseph; two daughters, Alice Hartman of Niagara Falls and Janet Wright of Newfane; 28 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Olcott. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Newfane.
