Ten young people found in a Race Street house early today were arrested on weapons charges, Northwest District officers said.

Officers Dennis Kessler and Timothy Rooney saw a youth run inside the residence in the 100 block of Race at about 5 a.m. and thought a burglary was in progress.

The officers investigated and discovered the young people in possession of an unloaded gun, police said.

Arrested on charges of criminal possession of a weapon were John Harley, 19, of Race Street; Jerome Zasowski, 19, Michael Carlos, 16, and Robert Carter, 17, all of Esser Avenue; Jason Zgoda, 20, of Park Street; Ejay Corp, 23, of Riverside Avenue; Michael Vaccaro, 18, and Norman Buckow, 22, both of Chadduck Avenue; Crystal McMindes, 16, of Newfield Street; and Thomas Grogan, 18, of Grant Street.
