Two special workshops featuring state officials who deal with comprehensive planning and the fire and building code will be held Monday at Holiday Valley.
The Cattaraugus County Planning Board and Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism are sponsoring the sessions, which are free and open to the public.
One session from 3:30 to 6 p.m. will feature Harry Willis, attorney for the state Department of State, and Lori Heithoff, land use specialist for the department.
A panel comprised of Donnald Hensel, Salamanca City Planning Commission chairman, and Gary Palumbo, Ellicottville town and village planner, will also participate.
The second session from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. will have as speakers Sam Ricotta, assistant director for Education Services of the state Department of State, and Charles Bliss and William Pippen, regional representatives for the state's program for Fire Prevention and Building Code.
