Lawrence R. Addenbrooke, 74, of Grand Avenue, a retired employee of Union Carbide Co., died Sunday (March 22, 1998) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.

A native of Niagara Falls, Addenbrooke served in Europe with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World war II. He was a welder at Union Carbide for 28 years until he retired in 1985.

Addenbrooke was a member of LaSalle American Legion Post 1142.

Survivors include two sisters, Mable Knotts of Rockledge, Fla., and Lillian Addenbrooke.

Services will be private.
