FALLS AQUARIUM AWARDED $85,000 STATE GRANT

Grants totaling $432,000 to four Western New York cultural organizations were announced Monday by Gov. Pataki.

Awarded state environmental funds for operating support were: the Buffalo Zoo, $167,000; Buffalo Museum of Science, $134,000; Aquarium of Niagara Falls, $85,000, and Erie County Botanical Garden, $46,000.

The same institutions have received environmental funding via the Natural Heritage Trust annually for more than two decades. The Natural Heritage Trust is a public benefit corporation created in 1968 to further conservation, recreation and preservation.
