Ernie Els closed the gap on world No. 1 Tiger Woods in the latest weekly golf rankings following Sunday's four-stroke victory at the PGA Bay Hill Invitational in Florida.
Els shot a 14-under-par 274 to finish four strokes ahead of Jeff Maggert and Bob Estes. Woods, who begins defense of his Masters crown on April 9, shot a 5-over-par 77 to record his worst-ever final round on the PGA tour to finish 10 shots off the pace in a tie for 13th.
