CLARENCE HIGH ENSEMBLES SET SACRED MUSIC CONCERT

The vocal ensembles of Clarence Senior High School, conducted by Robert Vehar, will present their annual concert of sacred choral music at 8 p.m. April 1 in the school
auditorium, 9625 Main St.

The program will include "Ave Verum Corpus" by Josquin des Pres; Persis Parshall Vehar's "Dona Nobis Pacem," a piece premiered by the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus Chamber Singers; two African-American spirituals; the "Song of Galilee" sung in Hebrew; and "O Bless the Lord My Soul" from the musical, "Godspell."

The hand bell choir of the First United Methodist Church of Akron and soprano Christen Gregory also will perform. Tickets will be available at the door.
