The first "For the Love of Art" exhibition to benefit St. Mary's School for the Deaf is continuing through April 10 at Partners in Art Gallery, 83 Webster St., North Tonawanda.
More than 70 pieces of artwork are for sale, as well as 43 wooden eggs decorated by artists in the show. About 300 people attended an opening reception Sunday at the gallery.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 7 to 10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday or by appointment.
First-place winners include Sean Daley for "Emily," a color pencil drawing, and Helen Carmichael for "Kinsman Enterprises," an oil painting; second place: Rosemary Reszka for "Skins and Things," charcoal and pastel, and James Doldan for "Native Spirits"; third place, Terie Jo Ritz for "Study in Oil," and Joan Swatty for "Land of Mighty Waters," pastel; honorable mention, Linda Schutter, Anne Hopper, Marjory Norton and Geraldine Fratello.
