Samuel Mussari, 86, a shipping clerk for 49 years, died Saturday (March 21, 1998) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital.
Formerly of Forest Avenue in Niagara Falls, he most recently was a resident of Mount View Health Facility in Lockport.
Mussari moved to Niagara Falls as a child and worked at Chisholm-Ryder Co. as a shipping clerk until he retired in 1976.
As a young man, he served with the Civilian Conservation Corps in Montana.
Mussari was a member of the Senior Citizens and Embassy clubs at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph of Harbor City, Calif., and Samuel of the Town of Niagara; a daughter, Mary Ecker of Youngstown; three brothers, Joseph of East Amherst, Louis of City of Tonawanda and Jack; two sisters, Lena Janis of Orchard Park and Rose Couch; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in Otto Redanz Funeral Home, 2215 Military Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 in Mount Carmel Church, 2486 Grand Ave. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
