PASSENGER IS INJURED WHEN CAB STRIKES HYDRANT

A taxicab passenger was hurt when the cab struck a fire hydrant on Packard Road near 36th Street Sunday morning, injuring a passenger, Officer
Michael Kachurek said.

Terri Bills, 29, of 3046 Welch Ave. was released after treatment in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a possible concussion and back and mouth injuries, Kachurek said.

The cab driver, Phyllis L. McGrady, 33, of 1801 Ontario Ave., was not charged. She lost control of the Blue Taxi about 7:25 a.m., Kachurek said.
