Isabelle E. Jamieson, 89, formerly of Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, died Friday (March 20, 1998) in Northgate Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
The former Isabelle Mentor was born in Tennessee but moved to Niagara Falls as a child and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.
She worked at Bell Aircraft Co. during World War II and after the war worked at the former Main Street location of Jenss department store as a clerk.
Mrs. Jamieson was a former first reader at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Niagara Falls. She also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, the LaSalle Grandmothers Club and the Sunshine Club.
Her husband, David F., died in 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Robert of Champaign, Ill., and Bruce of Denver; two daughters, Shirley Heist and Linda Macaulay, both of the Town of Tonawanda; a sister, Eileen Derrick of Okeechobee, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Private services were held today, followed by burial in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
