AMERKS DROP BRAWL-FILLED GAME

Jeff Daw's goal with 3:29 to play gave the Hamilton Bulldogs a 2-1 victory over the Rochester Americans in a fight-filled American Hockey League game Sunday.

Sean Brown lost the tip of the little finger on his left hand when, Bulldogs coach Lorne Molleken said, his gloved hand was slashed by Rochester winger Vaclav Varada. No penalty was assessed.

Hamilton took 38 penalties for 208 minutes; Rochester 32 for 171 minutes.

Varada scored Rochester's goal.
