Jeanne R. Gangloff, 52, of Cheektowaga, an active member of Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Cheektowaga, died Friday (March 20, 1998) at home while in the care of Hospice.
Ms. Gangloff, born in Long Beach, Calif., was a 1963 graduate of Maryvale High School and was active on her class reunion committee.
She also worked on the first all-class reunion of another alma mater, Infant of Prague Grammar School, in conjunction with the parish's 50th anniversary.
She was an eucharistic minister at Infant of Prague and ministered to the sick and homebound.
She had been under home Hospice care since she became ill in September 1996. She wrote Hospice's annual appeal letter for 1997 and was featured in "Hospice -- A Special Kind of Caring," a production of WKBW-TV, Channel 7.
For 30 years, she was a receptionist and bookkeeper at Don Meyer Optical. Before she became ill, she was a bookkeeper for National Car Rental.
Survivors include her parents, James E. and Grace of Cheektowaga; a sister, Judy Colvin of Eggertsville; and a brother, James of Cheektowaga.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Infant of Prague Church, 921 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga. Burial will be in Forest Lawn. [rrdda]
