BLIZZARD HANDS OUT HARDWARE

Forward and assistant coach Rudy Pikuzinski received his sixth straight Most Valuable Player award from the Buffalo Blizzard Booster Club Saturday.

Pikuzinski, who leads the National Professional Soccer League team in scoring with 141 points, also was named the year's top offensive player at the club's annual dinner at the Holiday Inn, 1881 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst.

Other awards went to David Banks (top defensive player), Bill Andracki (best newcomer), Randy Pikuzinski (unsung hero), Alex Villalobos (most improved), Armando Valdivia (rookie of the year), and Andrew Crawford (best sportsman).

The Blizzard clinched the North Division title Friday and will open the playoffs at Marine Midland Arena on April 9.
