A contribution by a husband and wife and a $2,200 gift from Diversified Manufacturing Co. early Wednesday enabled Wyndham Lawn Home for Children to reach its goal of raising $75,000 toward the care of children by its Dec. 31 deadline.

An anonymous donor offered earlier to contribute $25,000 to the home if $75,000 could be raised from other sources by the end of 1997. Successful completion of the $75,000 fund-raising drive enables Wyndham Lawn to receive the promised $25,000 as well.

"We want to express our gratitude to each of the 612 donors who contributed toward the challenge grant," said Richard J. Pyc, executive director of the home.

The money will help provide counseling, special education and family therapy to 63 children who live at Wyndham Lawn and to their families.
