TEEN NETTED IN CRACK SALES PROBE

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday as police wrapped up a two-month investigation of crack cocaine sales in the area of Dunkirk Senior High School.

Patrick P. Phillips of Canary Street was charged with third-degree criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance. Police said his arrest concluded an intense investigation that began with calls to a police hot line regarding suspicious activity involving Phillips.

Police said they conducted surveillance on Phillips and, through an undercover officer, bought crack from him. Phillips was in custody without bail pending arraignment in City Court.
