KENNEDY'S OLD TEAM TOO MUCH FOR NEW CLUB

The basketball players Pat Kennedy recruited, nurtured and coached for Florida State were simply too talented and too tall for the players he inherited at DePaul.

"It just gets emotional more than anything, to spend as much time with them as I did," Kennedy said after his former team defeated his current squad, 66-55.

Corey Louis had 16 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots and Randell Jackson 15 points and eight boards for the 15th-ranked Seminoles (11-2).

Kennedy, 202-131 in 11 years at Florida State, recruited Louis, Jackson and every other Seminoles player before taking the DePaul job last June.
