Two Jamestown men face assault charges after a series of unprovoked attacks on bystanders.

Jamestown police arrested Gabriel Harrison, 20, of Fairmount Avenue and Christopher Meacham, 18, of West Hamilton Street shortly after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of East Sixth Street.

Police found the two fighting with a third person, and a large crowd had gathered in the area. When they looked into the incident, officers said, they found the pair had committed at least four unprovoked attacks.

In one case, a husband and wife were assaulted in their car with their children in the vehicle. In two other cases, pedestrians were attacked.

Both men are charged with third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and obstructing governmental administration.
