Salamae J. "Sally" Ziewicki of Cheektowaga died Sunday (Dec. 28, 1997) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a long illness. She was 73.
Active in community service, Mrs. Ziewicki was a member of the Schiller Park Senior Citizens and Queen of Peace Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, Booster Club and Mothers Club.
The former Salamae Rogosz was born in Buffalo and attended SS. Peter & Paul School. Over the years, she worked for Trico Products Corp. and Seneca Vocational High School.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Richard P.; two sons, Joseph and Richard Jr., both of Cheektowaga; two sisters, Helen Balcarczyk of Tampa, Fla., and Florence Szulewski; and two grandsons.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Queen of Peace Church, 1955 Genesee St. Prayers will be said at 9 in Melvin J. Sliwinski Funeral Home, 85 George Urban Blvd., Cheektowaga. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
