The Mir crew's next spacewalk has been postponed until Jan. 8 because the team needs more time to fix the station's climate-control system, Russian space officials said today.

The spacewalk, which was set for Jan. 6, has been delayed several times because of more pressing work inside the station, officials said.

The crew is repairing the Vozdukh system, which removes carbon dioxide from the Mir, thus lowering the humidity inside the station.
