MAN SUSPECTED OF ROBBING STORE TWICE IS SOUGHT BY POLICE

A man suspected of robbing an Elmwood Avenue convenience store twice in three days is being sought by police.

In both instances, the man struck during the middle of the night at We Never Close, 1054 Elmwood Ave.

The first robbery was Dec. 19, and the second occurred on Dec. 21.

Also in both cases, the man had a hand in a pocket as if he had a weapon.

In the Dec. 21 robbery, he told an employee: "I have a gun. I'm not playing," according to police reports.

In the first robbery, the employee was ordered to lie down on the floor and told to count to 1,000.

Between the two robberies, the man got a few hundred dollars.

The robber was described as a white man, in his mid-30s, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 170 pounds, with a heavy build.

He has medium brown hair, but is balding in the middle of his head and has a patch of hair in the front.
