MAN ACCUSED IN SHOOTING MAY FACE HOMICIDE CHARGE

A man accused of shooting another man during a disturbance could face more than assault charges now that the victim has died.

Anthony Masucci Jr., 61, is charged with first-degree assault in the shooting of Victor Crewdson, 40, who died Monday.

Police said Crewdson forced his way into a mobile home Saturday night and threatened his ex-fiancee, Sandra Laurange.

Ms. Laurange said she had broken off her engagement with Crewdson a month ago and was staying 17 miles south of Albany in Kinderhook with Masucci, whom she described as a longtime friend. Masucci then ran into another room and returned with a gun, she said.
