Frank A. Certo, 47, of Porter Center Road Extension, a superintendent for Sevenson Environmental Services, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 1997) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after a brief illness.

Born in Niagara Falls, he graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1968. He earned a business degree from Niagara University in 1972.

Certo worked for Sevenson and its predecessor, Elia Construction Co., for 27 years until recently falling ill. He was a superintendent.

He enjoyed hunting and was an automobile enthusiast.

Survivors include a brother, Anthony J. of Lewiston; three sisters, Anna Maria Iamarino of Niagara Falls, Ont., Bessie Volpe and Frances, both of Niagara Falls; and his dear companion, Michele DeRose of Youngstown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, after prayers at 8:45 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St., Niagara Falls. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls.[prhska]
