EGYPTIAN AUTHORITIES CONFISCATE NEWSPAPER

Authorities confiscated the Sunday edition of an Arabic-language newspaper that featured an interview with a leader of the Islamic group that claimed responsibility for last month's killing of 58 tourists.

Officials at the Al-Hayat paper confirmed that the Cairo edition had been confiscated.

Sunday's edition, faxed to the Associated Press, included a story on Rifai Ahmed Taha, the Afghanistan-based leader of al-Gamaa al-Islamiya.
