The birth of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be commemorated Jan. 18 with a choral and solo-voice program in Shea's Performing Arts Center.

The theme for the program is "One in a Million," reflecting the racial unity the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee has fostered in its programs since its inception in the late 1970s.

Featured performers are the New Souls of Solomon, Union, Greater Works Ministries Choir, Antioch Fire Baptized Holiness Choir, the Baha'i Youth Workshop, Kakilambe from the African Cultural Center, Chopin Singing Society and a mass youth choir from the Buffalo Performing Arts Academy.

The program begins at 6 p.m.
