M. Jill Thompson, 48, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 1997) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Fredonia State College with a degree in speech pathology.
She was employed at Genesee County Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Batavia.
She was named Down Syndrome of Genesee County Individual of the Year. She also was a member of Alexander United Methodist Church and was chairwoman of its nursery school.
She is survived by her husband, Peter B.; three daughters, Jenna M., Elizabeth A. and Ashley; her mother, Elizabeth Bennett of Cheektowaga; three brothers, Arthur Thormahlen of Earlville, Steven Thormahlen of Arlington, Va., and Matthew Thormahlen of West Seneca; two sisters, Martha Chiang of Pearl River and Brooke Burgher of Amherst; one stepbrother, James Bennett of Clarence; and one stepsister, Linda Bennett of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Alexander United Methodist Church, 10540 Main St., Alexander.
