Susan M. Prest, the sergeant at arms for the Jr. Wilson Sportsmans Club and a former nurse's aide, died Thursday (Dec. 25, 1997) in Medina Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Prest, 54, of Orient Street, was born Susan Casey in Gasport. She grew up in the Gasport-Medina area.
She had worked for several years as a nurse's aide in Orchard Manor Nursing Home, until ill health forced her to retire.
In addition to her membership in the Jr. Wilson Sportsmans Club, Mrs. Prest was also a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars of Medina and the Turtle Club of Medina.
She enjoyed bingo and crocheting, especially afghans.
Her family and friends remember her as an avid Miami Dolphins fan and her fondness for cats.
Mrs. Prest's husband, Donald E., died in 1995.
She is survived by two sons, Donald E. Jr. and Michael; a daughter, Catherine Frost of Gasport; six grandchildren; and close friends, Donna Yates and Jackie Dunn.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Burial will be in Bates Road Cemetery.
