A Buffalo motorist suffered minor head injuries Friday after his car slid off the Thruway and overturned after hitting a patch of slippery pavement, State Police reported.
The accident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Thruway in the Town of Newstead.
A trooper said James N. Carlo, 65, of Buffalo was driving in the passing lane when he hit a patch of slick pavement and lost control of the car. The car went off the road and overturned.
Carlo was treated in the Erie County Medical Center. A passenger, George Peterson, 72, reported no injuries.
