Julie Smith of Olean and Shelly Koch of East Aurora hold the distinction of being the only repeat selections on this year's All-Western New York girls soccer team.
Clarence, East Aurora, Grand Island and Olean have two picks each on the 13-member squad consisting of three sophomores, two juniors and eight seniors.
The team was chosen by a panel of area coaches. Co-chairmen of the selection committee were: Tom Cashmore (East Aurora) and Joe Winiecki (Orchard Park). Names of the other voting members were not released.

Julie Smith, Olean: Was also named second team all-state in Class B . . . Leading scorer in CCIAC I the past two seasons . . . Set school record for most goals in a season with 47 . . . Led Huskies to a No. 11 ranking in the state in Class B . . . Became first Olean player to surpass 100 goals in a career with 126 . . . Scored six goals against Newfane in sectionals.
Shelly Koch, East Aurora: Four-year starter . . . Three-year ECIC IV all-star . . . Stopper who finished with 15 goals and 13 assists . . . Two-year captain . . . Plans to attend Syracuse.
Michelle Bouch, Allegany/Limestone: Also named second team all-state in Class C . . . Led Gators to the Section VI Class C title and a No. 4 ranking in the state in Class C . . . Three-year, first-team CCIAC I all-star . . . Led team to a 17-3 record and a berth in the Class C state final four.
Jennifer Campobello, Lake Shore: Goalkeeper, also named to fifth team all-state in Class A . . . Had six shutouts in 15 games. Stopped 99 of 116 shots (.846) . . . Carries a 3.66 grade point average . . . Team MVP. . . . Also plays softball.
Kristin Cleary, Clarence: Sweeper who was also named second team all-state in Class A . . . Finished with 11 career assists . . . The Red Devils finished 17-3-2 earning a No. 14 ranking in the state in Class A.
Jill Conover, Grand Island: Led Niagara Frontier League in scoring with 45 goals . . . Was also named fourth team all-state in Class B . . . Led team to 15-2-1 record . . . Was MVP of Tonawanda Tournament . . . Finishes career with 75 goals.
Caralyn Desautels, Nichols: Led Big Green to the Alliance of Independent School State championship. Had three assists in title game, a 4-2 win over Packer Collegiate . . . Led Nichols in scoring the past two seasons . . . Was a members of Nichols' AIS and Federation Class D state championship basketball team last season.
Rosie Luzak, Lew-Port: Sophomore who was also named third team all-state in Class B . . . A starter since eighth grade . . . Has 52 career goals . . . The Lancers finished 15-4 and were ranked No. 14 in the state in Class B.
Nicole Olszewski, Lancaster: Sophomore who was also named fourth team all-state in Class A . . . Led ECIC I in scoring with 25 goals . . . First-team ECIC I all-star for third year in a row . . . Scored 18 goals in each of her eighth-grade and freshman seasons.
Katie Paradise, East Aurora: Sophomore who completed her third varsity season with 31 goals to lead ECIC IV . . . A three-sport athlete . . . Has 71 goals and 27 assists in her career . . . Made first-team all-league the past two years.
Julie Rostan, Olean: Led Huskies to the Section VI Class B title and school record 20 wins . . . Scored 28 goals and had 30 assists in six-year varsity career . . . Three-year all-star in the CCIAC I . . . National Honor Society, 11th in her class of 191.
Jennifer Vaughan, Clarence: Was also named third team all-state in Class A . . . Led Clarence to a second consecutive Section VI Class A title . . . Four-year varsity player . . . Finished career with 14 goals and 28 assists.
Yi Xie, Grand Island: Was also named fourth team all-state in Class B . . . Led Vikings to a No. 19 ranking in the state in Class B . . . Four-year varsity player with 25 career goals . . . Team MVP who led Grand Island to first Niagara Frontier League title.
