RICH KILGOUR NAMED CAPTAIN OF THE BANDITS

Seven-year veteran forward Rich Kilgour has been named the new captain of the Buffalo Bandits. Kilgour, one of only four remaining original Bandits, will wear the "C" on his uniform with John Tavares and Troy Cordingley serving as assistant captains.

Kilgour replaces Brian Hall as captain. Hall did not make the team this season.

The Bandits get busy this weekend with a pair of exhibition games against the defending champion Rochester Knighthawks. The first will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Marine Midland Arena.

The same two teams will head east on the Thruway for another preseason game at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Rochester War Memorial.

Buffalo opens its regular season Jan. 3 at home against the Philadelphia Wings.
