A car windshield was shattered, injuring a man, and a van was struck with rocks and bricks Wednesday morning, as picket-line trouble persisted in front of Niagara-Wheatfield Senior High School, 2292 Saunders Settlement Road, sheriff's deputies said.

Laborers Local 91 is picketing non-union workers on a project at the school over the Christmas recess. Joseph M. Gambino of 3215 Belden Place, Niagara Falls, told Sgt. Michael A. Messina that he was driving toward the school to participate in the picketing when his windshield shattered.

James F. Bartolatta, 26, of 1967 Staley Road, Grand Island, Gambino's passenger, was treated in a local hospital after getting glass in his eyes.
