SENTENCING SET IN BURGLARY CASE

During an end-of-the-year session in Cattaraugus County Court on Monday, Judge Larry M. Himelein scheduled an Attica man for sentencing for a burglary at an Olean bowling alley.

David F. Woods Jr., 26, of Water Street pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary in June 1996 at Bowlean Lanes in Olean, where several items were stolen.

In other cases:

Rodney J. Chapman, 30, of Ellicottville was sentenced to 30 days of weekends in jail, five years of probation, and fined $2,500 and directed to perform 100 hours of community service for his guilty plea to driving while intoxicated Feb. 16 in Great Valley.

Leon R. Bienkowski, 15, a resident of the state Division For Youth facility in Great Valley was sentenced to five years of probation for his guilty plea to first-degree assault last year involving a staff member of the facility.
