The annual fund drive of St. Joseph Hospital in Cheektowaga has raised $181,400, exceeding its $175,000 goal this year.

In making the announcement Tuesday, drive chairman Paul J. Kolkmeyer, chief financial officer of Lockport Savings Bank, predicted even greater results by year's end.

John Winiewicz, chairman of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, said this brings to $357,000 the total unrestricted funds raised so far this year. In addition, the foundation has attracted $399,000 in gifts restricted to the hospital's surgical suites expansion project.
