Oprah Winfrey might love her popular TV book club, but she's happy at least one novel won't be on the reading list.
"The smartest thing I ever did was cancel my autobiography," Winfrey said in next month's Living Fit magazine. "I wasn't even close to the place I am now."
That place is getting busier. In addition to agreeing to tape her popular talk show until the year 2000, Winfrey plans to expand her line of home videos and will star in the upcoming movie "Beloved."
Fans still hoping for an autobiography may have a long wait. Winfrey said her life is changing all the time.
"If I wrote that book today, it wouldn't look anything like the book I would have written."
