LEONARD JACOBS SR., WORKED AS FARMHAND

Leonard "Eska" Jacobs Sr., 43, who worked as a farmhand on several area farms, died Sunday (Dec. 21, 1997) in his Second Street home after a brief illness.

He was born in Porter and attended the Tuscarora Indian School and Niagara Wheatfield High School.

Jacobs enjoyed fishing, woodcarving and darts.

Survivors include four sons, Joe Stallman of Idaho, Michael of Lewiston and Brandon and Leonard Jr.; his mother, Patricia Wegerski of Lewiston; two brothers, Milton R. Jr. and Robert, both of Lewiston; four sisters, Georgina Best of Ransomville, Clara Patterson and Patricia Fischer, both of Lewiston, and Sandra Swanson of Norfolk, Va.; his former wife Christine Capone; and one grandchild.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Tuscarora Indian Mission, Walmore Road, Lewiston. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lewiston.
