NO SMALL FRY HERE
A fast food burger just isn't the same without some great-tasting spuds on the side. That's why we were excited to hear about the new tailor-made taters that Burger King is whipping up in the deep fryer.
BK's latest concoction is coated with a special batter that's supposed to make them crispier and tastier -- and it does. You gotta get by the first impression, though, because the batter makes them look like they have warts. But after several trips to Whopper land we got hooked on their unique taste -- these are fries that can give their McDonald's counterparts a run for their ketchup.
On the downside, there are those warts. The BK fries do lack that golden brown complexion that makes you want to gobble them up. But for the serious fry fan, image isn't everything.
If you missed the Spice Girls' recent TV special, you can still catch 'em this year and next: Watch them ring in the new year on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve."
Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron will join the Smashing Pumpkins when the band returns to the studio to record, MTV Online reports.

We're eagerly awaiting a series that's scheduled to hit the WB Network in January: "Three," about three young crime fighters. (Ask your folks if they remember "Mod Squad.")
