Doris Schoonens, 92, a retiree of the former Norton Laboratory, died Sunday (Dec. 21, 1997) in her East High Street home.

The former Doris Donner was born in Wilson and was an exempt member of the Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Company and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years.

She worked in production at the former Norton Laboratory, retiring in 1970 after 20 years of service. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels program for five years.

Her husband, John A., died in 1979.

Survivors include a son, Marvin of Olcott and Hollywood, Fla.; two daughters, Judith Allen of Hollywood and Joyce Roeseler; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 67 Saxton St. Burial will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
