For "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar, moving from a soap opera to prime time has brought some subtle fringe benefits.
"I get fewer prison letters than I did when I was on the soap," Gellar says in the current People magazine's holiday double issue.
After an Emmy Award-winning run on the ABC daytime drama "All My Children," Gellar moved from her native New York to Los Angeles, where she landed the title role in the teen action show on the WB Network.
The 20-year-old also has made her first two movies, the autumn box office hit "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Scream 2."
Starring in horror films doesn't frighten her as much as her real life does, especially her rocketing career.
"The really scary thing is how fast it's all happening," Gellar said.
