HISTORY OF KWANZAA TO BE TOLD FRIDAY

A storyteller will help to explain the history of Kwanzaa from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Niagara Falls Housing Authority's Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth St. Karima Amin, who is also an educator, consultant, author and actress, will give an explanation of the festival's practices, principles and symbols with stories.

The housing authority will celebrate the first principle of Kwanzaa, Umoja, which means unity. The event is free and open to the public.
