Francis Heim of Clarence is this week's first-prize winner in SUPER JINGO Game 814, a trip for two for four nights at Geneva-on-the-Lake and a Thrifty rental car, plus $500 cash.
"That's wonderful, beautiful. How surprising. I was about ready to give up," said Heim. Persistence paid off for him and his wife, Mary Ellen, who have been playing consistently since SUPER JINGO began.
"We play every week except when we go away on vacations," he added. "We won passes to Darien Lake four years ago."
The Heims are no strangers to Geneva-on-the-Lake. "We travel to that area every year," he said, and, although there is no special occasion in the near future to celebrate, he is looking forward to making the trip with his wife in the spring.
Geneva-on-the-Lake is an elegant year-round resort on Seneca Lake, in the midst of the scenic Finger Lakes wine country. Visitors enjoy friendly hospitality and the exceptional beauty of this lakeside villa, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Heims' stay will include four nights in a beautiful suite, with a complimentary bottle of wine, fruit basket, continental breakfast and newspaper each morning and a candlelight dinner on one evening.

Other top prize winners in SUPER JINGO Game 814 include:
Mike Martin of Lake View -- $700 furniture certificate.
Carolyn and Dennis McGee of Silver Creek -- An autographed Buffalo Sabres jersey.
Paula and John Aszkler of Lackawanna -- A showroom car detail.
Mark Grimmer of Dunkirk -- Dinner and show tickets.
"Oh wow!" said Martin, second-prize winner of a $700 furniture certificate. He has been playing the game for several years, and this is his first win. He plans to treat himself to a new couch and said: "What a great time of year to win."
The McGees are the third-prize winners of an autographed Buffalo Sabres jersey. Mrs. McGee admits they have been pretty lucky in the game, having won several smaller prizes.
And they are Sabres fans although they "very seldom attend the games because we work second shift at Rich Products. We watch the games on TV every chance we get."
"Oh great," said Mrs. Aszkler, when told she and her husband won fourth prize, a showroom car detail. "We have two vehicles, so this will come in handy."
Grimmer was delighted to learn he won fifth prize of a dinner and show tickets for two.
He and his wife, Bonnie, have a 36-year anniversary coming up and will use the prize to celebrate. No newcomer to the game, Grimmer said he has been playing for years.
Remember, it is not necessary to write or phone The Buffalo News if you are one of the other 45 winners. Prizes will soon be mailed to you.
