Claudia M. Graham, 77, of Walnut Avenue, a retired nurse's aide, died Saturday (Dec. 20, 1997) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.
The former Claudia McNabb was born in Bullock, Ala., and moved to Niagara Falls in 1949.
Mrs. Graham worked as a kitchen aide at the Hitching Post restaurant until 1960.
She also was a nurse's aide at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, from 1955 to 1960, when she took a job at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She worked there until 1987.
She also worked for Staff Builders from 1994 to 1997.
Mrs. Graham was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and Sunshine Temple 187, Independent and Benevolent Protective Order of Elks.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Sr.; two sons, Willie J. of Liverpool and Sam Jr.; two daughters, Josephine Stevenson of Lawton, Okla., and Noreen Chatmon; two brothers, William McNabb of Orange, N.J., and Robert McNabb of Clayton, Ala.; three sisters, Alice Range and Leone Faye Polnett, both of Birmingham, Ala., and Develma Knight of Chicago; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in New Hope Baptist Church, 1122 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston.
