BEATRICE H. MCMULLEN, HOME ECONOMICS TEACHER

Beatrice H. McMullen, 92, formerly of Rivershore Drive, a home economics teacher, died Thursday (Dec. 18, 1997) in Hill Haven Nursing Home, Penfield.

The former Beatrice Hartman was born in Wilmington, Ohio, and lived in Niagara Falls from the 1920s until she moved to her daughter's home in Ontario, N.Y., in March 1995.

Mrs. McMullen moved to the nursing home last January.

She was a graduate of Ohio State University and worked as a substitute home economics teacher in Niagara Falls high schools.

Mrs. McMullen was a member of the Niagara Falls College Club and the State Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed spending time on her riverfront property, gardening, knitting, reading and playing bridge.

Her husband, J. Charles, died in 1988.

Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Curtis of Ontario; three grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church, 8210 Buffalo Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
