Members of the Buffalo Sabres will be present at the city's Centennial Ice Rink from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Monday for the annual "Skating with the Sabres" promotion. Reservations are required, and are limited to the first 300 persons to call 841-5812.
As a result of that event, the rink, normally open to the public daily from noon to 10 p.m., will have public skating only from noon to 5 p.m. Monday, the Parks Department announced.
Prices for participants in the Sabres' event will be $3 for adults, $1.50 for children, with skates rented for $1. Those prices are all discounted $1 from the normal rates.
The Parks Department also said the rink, located in E. Dent Lackey Plaza off Fourth Street, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Eve. It will be closed Christmas Day, open from noon to 1 a.m. New Year's Eve, and open regular hours on New Year's Day.
