Ola Griffin, an active member of St. John Baptist Church, died Monday (Dec. 15, 1997) at Sisters Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 76.
Mrs. Griffin was born in Troy, Ala., attended grammar school there and moved to Buffalo in 1948. She married Arthur Griffin in 1960 and was a homemaker.
Her involvement at St. John Baptist included membership in the Good Shepherd Society, Sunday School and Senior Citizens Fellowship. She also was a member of the Boys Clubs of America.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Arthur Jr. of Niagara Falls; and a sister, Lula Williams.
A funeral was held Friday. Mrs. Griffin was buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cheektowaga.
